A bit overwhelming to say the least. I have to admit I thought going to design school would be easy. Yeah I admit I was a bit arrogant about how well I was going to do. Well in my head I was a bit arrogant. I mean I’m very crafty and creative so design school should be a breeze right? Wrong!
I’ve been challenged like never before. Now I know why people my age don’t go back to school. Life gets in the way big time and then there is homework! Yikes! I admit I get tired quite easily in my older age. I am up for the challenge but I never thought it would be SO challenging. I’ve learned that I wasn’t as creative as I thought being surrounded by other talented students. I’m not discouraged though. I’m going to continue plugging along. Just a bit slower than my other classmates though.

Beauty 911: Would you do your own hair?

I went to the hair salon the other day to get my hair colored since it’s been over a year that my gray hair has seen color. Well I have to say that I wasn’t happy at all. Once I got home I discovered that my stylist didnt completely color my hair. There are large sections that clearly weren’t touched by the hair color. I know I should probably go back and show her the color difference but honestly I want to just start coloring my own hair.
I say this because in the last year I’ve taken extremely great care of my hair by learning haircare techniques from you tube gurus. I don’t know about you but I love learning new things from you tube. Anyway I learned that co-washing and avoiding heat tools were the best things for my hair. Just doing those two things helped my hair to grow over 6 inches in the past year. You may be saying that may not be alot but it is for me.
While she was styling my hair she was pulling and tugging and I literally heard my hair popping and breaking. She was more preoccupied with getting as many “heads” in her chair than focusing on each client. I was a bit put off by this so I’ve decided to take matters in my own hands and do my own coloring. With that being said, would you color your own hair? Why or why not?
I’m overcome with Wanderlust

Lately I’ve been having an extreme case of wanderlust. I’m not sure if it’s my way of escaping a painting assignment or the fact that its been over 12 years since I’ve traveled abroad. Actually, I’ll blame it on House Hunter’s International. Yeah, that’ll work!
All I know is that I’m ready to make a move to somewhere European. London, Paris, or Amsterdam perhaps? Sure I’ll take them all. I want to be able to live somewhere other than the states so the Bosslady can see how the other half live. I want her to have a more global perspective on life rather than that of a typical American kid. Where would you move if you had the chance?

Playing hookie

I’ve decided to play hookie today. Well part of the day. I skipped out on my morning and afternoon class actually. I have two reports and a massive exam in Art history tonight. I thought I would take a break from playing hookie to post about playing hookie! How is your Monday going?
